Which FMEA standard does TORX AMEF follow? +
TORX AMEF is built on the VDA AIAG FMEA 1st Edition (2019) standard. It uses Action Priority (AP: High / Medium / Low) instead of the legacy RPN threshold system, aligning with what automotive OEMs and tier-1 suppliers require today.
Is my data secure? +
Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use SOC 2-compliant infrastructure and never share your process data with third parties. Enterprise customers can request dedicated environments or on-premise deployment.
Can I migrate my existing FMEAs from Excel? +
Yes — TORX AMEF includes an Excel import tool with a fixed 4-sheet template (Stations, Work Elements, PFMEA Items, Instructions). Download the template, fill it in, and import in one step. The import is additive — it never overwrites existing data.
Is TORX GDPR compliant? +
Yes. TORX is hosted in the Netherlands on EU infrastructure — your data never leaves the EU/EEA. We are GDPR compliant and provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for enterprise customers. Standard Contractual Clauses are available for customers in the UK, US, and Mexico.
Does it work for non-automotive industries? +
Absolutely. While TORX AMEF is built on automotive standards, the methodology applies to any manufacturing process — aerospace, medical devices, electronics, and more. The platform is industry-agnostic.
What happens to my data if I cancel? +
You can export all your FMEAs, reports, and data as PDF and Excel at any time — before, during, or after cancellation. We don't hold your data hostage. After account closure, data is deleted within 30 days per our retention policy.
